There are five phases, but not necessarily in any order.
1. Empathize- Think about the needs/emotions of the audience
2. Define - Understand the audience's needs, problems, insights
3. Ideate - Use findings from Define to begin creating visualizations
4. Prototype - put findings into a presentation or dashboard
5. Test - test run to team effectiveness of viz
